“If two people think the same in a team one of them is too many “

Team Building: Group membership requires not only knowledge and skills and knowledge but also knowledge of self and others along with the ability to give and receive feedback. This programme is highly experiential and can be tailored to suit the needs of a team.  The following areas are explored before deciding a  Experimental exercises and simulations help individuals learn how their thoughts drive current actions/outcomes thereby creating greater self-awareness.  It is particularly useful where there is conflict within a team or people don’t appear to understand why others are not “pulling their” weigh and is designed to improve overall communications and teamwork. The Belbin team roles – optional.

We will diagnose the teams current level of functioning in the following areas in order to identify areas for improvement:  Communication & Participation | Decision Making | Conflict | Leadership Roles | Goals & Roles | Group Norms | Problem Solving | Individual Behaviour | Group Atmosphere

Aimed at:  Any group forming a team

Objectives

  • Identify the main characteristics of high performing teams
  • Describe qualities about themselves & identify areas for development
  • Learn more about other attendees
  • Position conflict as a positive within a team
  • Learn/practice group observation/feedback

Duration: Half day or 1 day
