Coaching: One of the key competencies that emerge from a growing body of research into effectiveness in the workplace includes self-awareness and a commitment to self-development. Be it Coaching or Mentoring (you decide what you want) we look at some of the beliefs and values that you hold and how they may have helped shape your opinions or attitudes and ultimately how you have developed behaviours to support those opinions/beliefs and attitudes
In Coaching we explore your individual needs focusing on the task or objective (using questioning techniques) with some direct feedback to help you develop skills and move forward. Goals are clearly defined with individual effectiveness being clearly linked to organisational performance. Managers are helped improve their own leadership style and supported as they make critical business decisions to achieve clear business outcomes. Risks associated with organisational change are explored.
In a Mentoring programme we help you to focus on progress and look at developing capabilities getting you work on things for yourself. The mentor shares his knowledge and expertise with you, provide coaching if appropriate and help you network. The feedback tends to be more intuitive and the relationship based on mutual trust and confidentiality.
